• Account Information: When you register an account, we collect your email address to authenticate your account, send service notifications, and respond to your requests.
• Gear Content You Provide: This includes all information you add to the app: gear specifications (size, purchase date, brand) for your boards, boots, and bindings, waxing and edge care schedule entries, gear photos you upload, and custom notes about ride conditions and maintenance needs.
• Automatic Usage Information: We collect non-identifiable usage data to improve our service, such as how often you access the app, common features used, and general device information (device type, operating system version) to fix compatibility issues.

2. How We Use Your Information

All data we collect is used to deliver and improve your gear maintenance experience:

• To power core features: store your gear registry, send personalized tune-up reminders, and keep your photos and maintenance history accessible across your devices
• To customize recommendations: adjust tune-up scheduling suggestions based on the ride conditions and usage frequency you report
• To improve our service: fix bugs, optimize app performance, and add new features that match how our community uses Snostey
• To communicate with you: respond to support inquiries, send important service updates, and notify you of upcoming scheduled maintenance
• To keep our service secure: prevent unauthorized access to your account and protect against fraudulent activity

3. When We Share Your Information

We never sell your personal information or gear data to third parties for marketing purposes. We only share your information in the following limited circumstances:

• Trusted Service Providers: We work with third-party vendors to host our app, store your photos and data, and send email notifications. These providers are only permitted to process your data per our instructions and in compliance with privacy standards.
• Legal Requirements: We will disclose your information if required by law, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of other users.
• Business Changes: If Snostey undergoes a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred as part of the transaction, but it will remain subject to the terms of this privacy policy unless you agree otherwise.
• With Your Explicit Consent: We will only share your information for any other purpose if you explicitly give us permission to do so.

4. Your Rights & Control Over Your Data

You retain full control over your gear and personal data at all times:

• Access, update, or edit any of your gear information or account details directly through the app at any time
• Delete individual gear entries, photos, or your entire Snostey account permanently whenever you choose
• Request a full copy of all data we hold associated with your account
• Opt out of non-essential push or email notifications at any time

5. Data Security & Retention

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal and gear data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. While no method of digital storage is 100% secure, we continuously update our security practices to keep your data safe.

We retain your data for as long as you maintain an active Snostey account. When you delete your account, we permanently delete all your personal content (gear data, photos, schedule entries) from our active servers within 30 days, except where we are required to retain data by law.

6. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 13. If you become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete the information immediately.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy periodically to reflect changes to our practices or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify you of material changes through in-app notification or email. Your continued use of Snostey after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
